Product Description
Super fine merino raw fleece from local WA grower. When washed, this fleece is bright white and spins incredibly fine lace weight yarn with ease.
AVERAGE STAPLE LENGTH:- 7-8cm
Please note, extra fine merino needs to be washed by the staple, to avoid felting. Standard hot washes in bundles do not produce the best result for spinning fine yarns. It's a slightly more fiddly process, but totally worth it (trust me, I have tried both).
100gms will yield many metres of lace weight yarn (approx 450m)
We would recommend Margaret Stoves 'Spinning For Lace' DVD, which shows you how to wash and spin for a fine yarn.
